mr_godi [17]
You cannot compute for the capital in excess of par since you don’t have the number of shares but let us assume there are 100,000 shares.

If the Company sell 100,000 shares of its common stock for $2 per share, and the par value of each share is $5, then the amount of the capital in excess of par is 100,000 shares x $3/share, = 300,000 and is recorded:

Cash 500,000

      Common stock ($2 x 100000) 200000

      Additional Paid-In Capital($3 x 100000) 300000

A coworker tells you that she put the wrong meeting date in a recent e-mail to an investor, subsequently, the investor missed th
Nataly [62]

Answer:

These statements would fit well in an apology letter:

  • Make a promise that it won't happen again - Putting the wrong date is a very serious and very strange mistake at the same time. It's strange because professionals usually do not make that kind of mistake, and it's serious because it can completely distort as schedule, as it happened in this case.
  • Apologize sincerely - again, as the mistake was serious and strange at the same time, an apology is necessary.
  • Accept responsability - accepting responsability for one's actions is not only the professional thing to do, but also the ethical thing to do.

And this statement is appropriate when presenting a bad newsletter:

  • If the reason or explanation is not confidential and will not create legal liability - giving out specific information in a corporate context can result in legal liabilities that potentially cost a lot of money, therefore, it is important to carefully choose one's words, while at the same time being honest with the reader.

hornton Computer Services, Inc. has been in business for six months. The following are basic operating data for that period: Mo
nignag [31]

Answer:

The total monthly fixed cost and the variable cost per hour is $1,540 and $23

The average contribution margin per hour is $27

Explanation:

The computation of the fixed cost and the variable cost per hour by using high low method is shown below:

Variable cost per hour = (High Operating cost - low operating cost) ÷ (High service hours - low service hours)

= ($11,200 - $4,300) ÷ (420 hours - 120 hours)

= $6,900 ÷ 300 hours

= $23

Now the fixed cost equal to

= High operating cost - (High service hours × Variable cost per hour)

= $11,200 - (420 hours × $23)

= $11,200 - $9,660

= $1,540

For computing the contribution margin per hour, first we have to compute the revenue per hour which is shown below:

= Revenue ÷ service hours

= $6,000 ÷ 120 hours

= $50

We know that,

The contribution per hour = Revenue per hour - variable cost per hour

                                           = $50 - $23

                                           = $27
