The metric system<span> is a comprehensive system of measurements used in almost all of the world today. One of the biggest advantages that the metric system offers is that conversion between its units is simple, as its units scale by </span>powers of 10<span>. Because of this, converting within metric measurements is usually as easy as multiplying or dividing a given measurement by a power of 10 to find the new value, or, as a shortcut, simply moving its decimal point. Read on below the jump for detailed instructions. I THINKKKKK FOUND IT ON GOOGLE</span>

1. While solutions to the general quintic equation in terms of radicals are impossible to obtain, they do exist. Prove that the
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given is a function as x^5-3x+1

Equating to 0 we have equation

If the function f(x) has x intercepts then the solutions are real

Let us use remainder theorem and change of signs rule

f(0) = 1>0

f(-1) = -1+3+1=3

f(-2) = -32+6+1<0

This implies there is a real root between -1 and -2.

f(1) = -1

Since f(0) and f(1) have different signs, there exists a real root between 0 and 1.

f(2) = 32-6+1>0

Since f(1) and f(2) have different signs there exists a real root between 1 and 2.

Thus there are definitely three real solutions as

one between -1 and 0, one between 0 and 1, and third between 1 and 2.

Explain how your work your knowledge of place value helps you divide a number in thousands by whole numbers to 10 give a example
Anna71 [15]
Place value is the value each digit has in its position: in order from higher to lower value, there is thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones.
When you divide by 10, you are moving (only once) every digit from its present place value to the right.
For example 6430 : 10= 643, you have moved every digit to the right, making the zero disappear (or better yet, separated by a hidden and in this case useless comma).
