Which of the following best describes the impact of Thomas Malthus's idea about population growth exceeding the food supply? A:
Oduvanchick [21]

The correct answer is C. They were rejected by scientists, who believed farmers would always produce enough food. Malthus's studies affirmed that the moment in which the land stopped producing enough food for all its inhabitants was inevitable. Over time it was proved that this theory was false since it did not consider important variables that would occur in the following decades, such as the implementation of birth control techniques and related technological advances applied to agriculture and food production .

When did the balance of power in the u.s. federal system shift in favor of the national government having more power?
notsponge [240]
Since there isn't any options I'll give you my best answer. The balance of power shifted after Shay's rebellion. Daniel Shay was a farmer and pretty much him and a bunch of farmers were unhappy with the bank. So, they decided to rebel and assault the bank. This is at the time where the national government had little power both military and democratically compared to the states. The government tried calling the states for help but they didn't. After this event it was decided that the government should be made more powerful
