I can factor it

3x^2 - 18x + 27
= 3(x^2 - 6x + 9
= 3(x - 3)^2

If we equate this to 0 we can solve for x:-

3(x - 3)^2 = 0
so x - 3 = 0
and x = 3 (duplicity 2)

What do you mean by "solve this?"  Until you set f(x) = to some constant number, you don't have an equation and thus can't expect to find solutions.

Why don't we take <span>3x^2-18x+27 and set it = to 0, and only then try to solve this equation?

</span><span>3x^2-18x+27 = 0.  Dividing both sides by 3, we get x^2 - 6x + 9= 0, which can be factored as

(x-3)^2 = 0.  Taking the sqrt of both sides, we get x-3 = 0.  Actually, there are 2 roots:  3 and 3.  Again, this statement is true only if we set </span><span>3x^2-18x+27 = to 0.</span>

Business Calc Question: A certain D. Kong is producing and selling bananas. Let p be the price of a bushel of bananas and let x
mylen [45]
I could be wrong because I didn’t take business calculus, but i guess it’s the same as regular calculus.

So I assumed that the revenue is equal to the price times the amount produced: R=px

Now differentiating, I get: dR/dt =pdx/dt +xdp/dx. I used the product rule

But Mr. Kong wants his revenue constant ? So I assume that dR/dt=0

Plug in values and solve dx/dt. Please message me back. I want to see if I got it write

Which relation is a function?
dimulka [17.4K]
The definition of a function is that for each input, there is only one output. Thus, the answer to your question is A, as it is the only answer option that each input has only one output. In answer choice B, the input -1 has outputs of both -2 and -5. In answer choice C, the input 4 has outputs of both 3 and 0. Finally, in answer choice D, the input -4 has outputs of both -4 and 4. Therefore, answer A is the only function because it is the only option that follows the definition. Hope this helps! :)

&lt;,&gt;,=. Which one is more bigger 0.2 or 1/5
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

0.2 = 1/5

Step-by-step explanation:

Convert 0.2 into a fraction.

You get 2/10.

Now simplify that number by dividing both the numerator and the denominator by 2.

You get 1/5.

Since 1/5 = 1/5, 0.2 and 1/5 are equivalent.
