Explain what Locke means when he says, “Tyranny is the exercise of power beyond right.” Support your answer with information fro
Rina8888 [55]
Hey there!

When they say tyranny, they sure don't mean democracy. Tyranny is explicitly defined as the taking of power through force and using unchecked power to rule over certain people. When you become a tyrant, your power isn't subdued or lowered by anybody- it's your power and you do what you want with it.

That's exactly what John Locke meant when he said this. He meant that tyranny was the exercise - the use - of power beyond ethical or moral right. He meant when you use your power without any regard to anybody else.

Hope this helps

Two teens – or kids, as they were called now – were on their way home from a secret meeting. As they walked in the shadows to avoid detection, they tripped on a huge titanium cylinder. Etched into the surface were a series of scratched-out words. The only words they could make out were, "He will prevail."

In fact, this particular adaptation is not of Hugo's novel, but of the popular Broadway musical based on Hugo's moving tale is shown after sentence 3.

Answer: Option A

Explanation:

The adaptation that has been talked about in the above paragraph is not from the adaptation of the novel of Hugo. The adaptation has been talked about from the movie tale.

There is a proof in the paragraph showing this. The sentence number eight, talks about it. It says that because Hugo's story has much in it. this latest movie adaptation we'll see. So from reading the sentence from 3rd to 8th, you can understand that the adaptation is from the movie and not novel.
