In each of the following cases, calculate the accounting break-even and the cash break-even points. Ignore any tax effects in ca
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

Accounting break-even

Case

1        11,386.13  units

2          = 28125  units

3            312.5  units

Cash break-even

Case          Break-even

1          =     13,861.38

2        =     8125

3          =      312.5

Explanation:

Accounting break even is computed as

Break-even = (total fixed cost + depreciation ) /selling price - variable cost per unit

Case

1       =  (7,000,000 + 1,250,000)/(2,800- 2,295)= 11386.13861

2         (65,000 +160,000)/(51-43 ) unit = 28125

3            (1,800 + 700)/  (12- 4)= 312.5

Cash break even

Under here only cash based fixed cost would be used , depreciation would be ignored. This is so because it is not a fixed cost .

Break-even = (total fixed cost ) /selling price - variable cost per unit

1       =  (7,000,000 )/(2,800- 2,295)= 13,861.38

2         (65,000 )/(51-43 ) unit = 8125

3            (1,800 + 700)/  (12- 4)= 312.5

Harlamova29_29 [7]
In this type of situation, both Ramsay and the company will be investigated for the tax fraud case. Even if Ramsay was found not guilty, the company will still be investigated since the company is a separate entity and there is an alleged big amount hidden in company's assets. If the company is found guilty, it will still be liable for the case even if Ramsay was found not guilty. Most likely, the investigators will try to tie the case back to him anyway since he is one of the main representatives of the company.

Hoosier Manufacturing operates a production shop that is designed to have the lowest unit production cost at an output rate of 1
Gekata [30.6K]

Answer:

96.57%

Explanation:

The most efficient capacity utilization rate is 100 units per hour.

The firm used 175 hours and produced 16,900 units in total.

If it had used the hours in the most efficient way, it would have produced a total of:

175 hours x 100 units per hour = 17,500 units

The 16,900 units that it actually produced, as a percentage of the 17,500 units that the firm could have produced is equal to:

16,900 x 100% / 17,500 = 96.57%.

Thus, the capacity utilization rate is 96.57%.
