The civil rights issues we see today are close to the ones from the 1950’s and 1960’s with the equal rights movement led by MLK. Today we see the Black Lived Matter movement that is racking the racial issues today with brutality of people of color. We have already passed the equals protect clause that is stated in the constitution, but if congress or even the president were to restate and ensure that the equal protection clause is being ensured in our society, would be the best way to ensure better rights. hope this helps.
