The small square box has a width of 1 1/2. Since it’s a SQUARE box all sides are the same sides. to find volume we have to do length * width * height. the bigger square box is three times the small box size. So we would have to do 1 1/2 times three. Which is 4 1/2. Since all sides are the same and we have to do L*W*H, we have to multiply 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 by 4 1/2. Which equals 91 1/8. I find it easier to turn the fractions into decimals, so 1 1/2 is 1.5.
1.5 times 3= 4.5 4.5 times 4.5 times 4.5 = 91.125 convert to a fraction and its 91 1/8
