Answer:

Their constitutional rights are violated because it states in the 8th amendment, "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted." 10 years of jail for a parking ticket is a cruel punishment just because you did not pay a small amount of money. Therefore it violates your rights.

What did Madison say about the size of the republic? Did he want big ones or small ones and why? (You can answer with a flow-cha
victus00 [196]

Answer:

Madison argued in favor of a larger republic

Explanation:

According to his paper "Federalist 10", Madison argued that a representative body that is too small be insufficient to represent all of the interests and opinions of the nation. The larger the representative body, the better since it allows more opinions and prevents tyranny.

"...the same advantage which a republic has over a democracy...is enjoyed by a large over a small republic," (Third to last paragraph of Federalist 10)
