Answer: 2/x+4x^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Do distrubitive property.

SO mutiply 2/5 to 5/x which is 10/5x or 2/x

then 2/5 times 10x^2

10*2/5=20/5 or 4

Done.

Have a nice day! :)

Consider the graph of function f.
satela [25.4K]
As x heads off to negative infinity (towards the left side), the curve slowly approaches the horizontal line y = 1. It will never actually touch or cross this horizontal line. It simply gets closer and closer. Think of it as an electric fence of sorts.

Therefore the horizontal asymptote is y = 1

50 POINTS!!!!!
Makovka662 [10]

We can adjust the data by adding 4 to everything before we calculate the statistics.  Or we can calculate the statistics on the given data and just add 4 to everything at the end.  We'll get the same answer either way.

Let's sort the seven data points:  5 5 5 7 7 9 10

Those add up to 48 so the mean is 48/7 = 6.9

The one in the middle is 7 so the median = 7

The mode is the most common one, mode = 5

The range is the difference between max and min, so range = 10 - 5 = 5

In the second week we add four to everything.  Since that adds four to the min and max, the range doesn't change.

Answer: mean=10.9, median=11, mode=9, range=5

The area of a triangle is 45.5 cm2 and the base is 10 cm.
blondinia [14]
The area of a triangle is A=1/2b*h
You have the base (b) and you have the area (A)
So, if you plug in what you know, you get this:
45.5=1/2*10*h
Simplify it:
45.5=5h

Now solve for h
Divide by 5 to get h alone:
9.1=h

Your height is 9.1cm
Hope this helps :)

30 POINTS By looking at the intercepts, which linear function does the graph represent?
larisa86 [58]

C. f(x)=2/3x-2

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

Looking at the graph we realize that the y-intercept is given by:

b=-2

The Slope-intercept form of the equation of a line is given by:

y=mx+b

So, our equation becomes:

y=mx-2

So the only option that matches a negative y-intercept is C. Let's see that the slope m=2/3. Look at the y-intercept, if you increase x by 3 units, then y increases by 2 units and goes from x=-2 to x=0. In other words:

Change \ in \ x=\Delta x=3 \\ \\ Change \ in \ y=\Delta y=2 \\ \\ \\ m=\frac{\Delta y}{\Delta x}=\frac{2}{3}

An 11 foot ladder leans against the side of a house. The bottom of the ladder is 6 feet from the side of the house. How high is
Mariulka [41]
Using Pythagoras Theorem,
(b is the length of the ladder from the ground)
11x11=6x6+(b^2)
121-36=(b^2)
85=(b^2)
b= 9.219544457292887
b is approximately 9.2
