Answer:-1/4

Why? Slope=rise/run and can be found with the difference of y over the difference of x
-8- -6= -2
9-1= 8
so the slope is -2/8 but you have to simplify so you get
-1/4

Hope this helps

(a) What resonant frequency would you expect from blowing across the top of an empty soda bottle that is 24 cm deep, if you assu
Kryger [21]

Answer:

a) 357.29 Hz

b) 535.9375 Hz

Step-by-step explanation:

v = Velocity of sound in air = 343 m/s

l = length = 24 cm

a)

l=\frac{1}{4}\lambda \\\Rightarrow \lambda=4l

f=\frac{v}{\lambda}\\\Rightarrow f=\frac{v}{4l}\\\Rightarrow f=\frac{343}{4\times 0.24}\\\Rightarrow f=357.29\ Hz

∴ Resonant frequency is 357.29 Hz

b) Here one third is filled with soda

So, length becomes l=24-\frac{24}{3}=16\ cm

f=\frac{v}{4l}\\\Rightarrow f=\frac{343}{4\times 0.16}\\\Rightarrow f=535.9375\ Hz

∴ Resonant frequency is 535.9375 Hz

Sam wants to be named the greatest home run hitter of his baseball league. In the past 5 seasons he has hit 24 , 20, 23, 20, and
DIA [1.3K]

Answer:

B. \frac{H+108}{6}\geq 22

Sam must hit at least 24 runs in 6th season to qualify for the home run trophy.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let H be number of runs Sam hits in 6th season.

We have been given that Sam wants to be named the greatest home run hitter of his baseball league. In the past 5 seasons he has hit 24, 20, 23, 20, and 21 home runs, respectively.

Let us find the number of runs scored by Sam adding the number of hits in his past 5 seasons.

\text{5 season score of Sam}=24+20+23+20+21=108

We are told that to qualify for the home run trophy he must average at least 22 home runs in 6 seasons. So to qualify this season Sam's average must be greater than or equal to 22.

We can represent this information in an inequality as:

\frac{H+108}{6}\geq 22

Let us solve our inequality to find the least number of runs Sam must hit to qualify.

Multiplying both sides of our inequality by 6 we will get,

6\times \frac{H+108}{6}\geq 6\times22

H+108\geq 132

H\geq 132-108

H\geq 24

Therefore, Sam must hit at least 24 runs this 6th season to qualify for the home run trophy.

No. of circles=6

Ratio of squares to circles is 5 to 6

So answer is
B. 5 to 6.

2.No. of students=35
No. of teachers =4

Ratio of students to teachers=No. of students/No. of teachers
=35/4

so answer is
C. 35/4

Hope it helps ^_^
