KE=112 \frac{kg * m^{2} }{s^{2} }

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the largest interval which includes x = 0 for which the given initial-value problem has a unique solution. (Enter your answ
Ivan

Answer:

(-\infty,3)

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that

(x-3)y''+4y=x

y''+\frac{4}{x-3}y=\frac{x}{x-3}

y(0)=0

y'(0)=1

By comparing with

y''+p(x)y'+q(x)y=g(x)

We get

p(x)=\frac{4}{x-3}

g(x)=\frac{x}{x-3}

q(x)=0

p(x),q(x) and g(x) are continuous for all real values of x except 3.

Interval on which p(x),q(x) and g(x) are continuous

(-\infty,3)and (3,\infty)

By unique existence theorem

Largest interval which contains 0=(-\infty,3)

Hence, the larges interval on which includes x=0 for which given initial value problem has unique solution=(-\infty,3)

A kitchen supply outfit makes spoons and forks for sale. It costs the store $2 to buy the supplies needed to make a fork and $1
lana [24]

Given :

A kitchen supply outfit makes spoons and forks for sale. It costs the store $2 to buy the supplies needed to make a fork and $1 for the supplies to make a spoon. The store sells the forks for $4 and the spoons for $5.

Last month they spent $39 on supplies and sold all the forks and spoons they made using those supplies for $93.

To Find :

How many forks and spoons did the company make.

Solution :

Let, number of forks and spoons the company made are f and s.

For buying from the kitchen the equation is :

2f + s = 39    ....1)

For selling the equation will be :

4f + 5s = 93  ....2)

Multiplying equation 1) by 5 and subtracting equation 2) from it we get :

(10f + 5s) - ( 4f + 5s) = 195 - 93

6f = 102

f = 17  and s = 5

Therefore, the company make 17 forks and 5 spoons.
