What is the International Date Line? Describe its geographic location. Why doesn't it follow a straight line? Why do we need it?
serg [7]

Answer:

In explanation.

Explanation:

The International Date Line is an imaginary line set up by the people, and it is needed so that the people manage to organize the time more properly on the whole planet.

This line is halfway through on the other side of the planet from the Prime Meridian, also known as the Greenwich Meridian, so since the Prime Meridian is at 0 longitude, the International Date Line is roughly at 180 degrees of longitude.

As I said, roughly 180 degrees of longitude, so this line is not a straight one, but instead it moves a bit in both eastern and western direction at certain places. The reason why it is not straight is because it follows the borders of the countries located in the Pacific through which it passes or touches their borders, in order to not divide their time.

To what extent, if any, has the court promoted both the common good and individual liberty
Alborosie
The High Court has interpreted concepts like the First Amendment in ways that have covered both parts of social interaction. The Court has found that individual liberty to express oneself freely, worship without coercion, and to gather without recompense is to be protected, but the common good is to be promoted by also placing limits on just how far these strictures can be stretched before they become a danger to overall community well-being, such as when groups are gathering or people have made statements that are known to be inciting danger to others.

Your 14-year-old nephew just walked in the door from school and told you that he is not going to go back to school. You ask why
Anni [7]

Answer:

Imaginary audience.

Explanation:

Although you tried to help, he was inconsolable. Your nephew was experiencing what David Elkind regarded as the imaginary audience. David Elkind proposed this psychological term to refer to the feelings that adolescents experience. Adolescents feel that they are under constant surveillance of family, and peers. This is the reason why this adolescent is inconsolable.
