6. What is the greatest common factor of the following expression? * 15y3 – 40y

Mathematics
1 answer:
Nady [450]2 years ago
5 0

Answer:

I'm not sure what 15y3 is, but I'll take a guess.

If the only numbers are 15, 3, and -40, then the greatest common factor is 1.

If the only numbers are 15 and 3, then it's three.

If the only numbers are 15 and -40, it would be 5.

A total of 200 songs were played at a party in the ratio of 3 : 2 : 5. if the amount representing Vybez Kartel is 5 How many of
Jobisdone [24]

Answer:

100

Step-by-step explanation:

Because it would be the most common it would make no sense if any of the other options would represent the value of 2 and 3 if it had it would go over the amount of 200. But if they were represented by numbers 3 would be 60 and 2 would be 40 multiplying by two and ofc 5 would be 100.

Remmeber, you can do anything to an equation as long as you do it to both sides

for inequalities, if you multiply or divide both sides by a negive, flip the direction of the inequality sign

pemdas always applies
but also the commutative property and assiociative property

so
2(5y+13)-6<20
add 6 both sides
2(5y+13)<26
divide both sides by 2 (easier that distributing)
5y+13<13
minus 13 both sides
5y<0
y<0 is the solution

Explain why the intercepts, on their own, cannot be used to graph the relation 5x+9y= 0.
goldfiish [28.3K]
5x + 9y = 0

to find the x int, sub in 0 for y and solve for x
5x + 9(0) = 0
5x = 0
x = 0

to find the y int, sub in 0 for x and solve for y
5(0) + 9y = 0
9y = 0
y = 0

the reason u cannot use just the intercepts is because the line goes through the origin (0,0)....The intercepts coincide giving u only 1 point...and that is not enough to graph a line
