Homeostasis is the tendency of any system to maintain the internal environment constant. Homeostasis is very much important and each organ system help in maintaining homeostatic condition in the body. Without homeostasis, we cannot survive.

If a homeostasis condition gets failed they it may cause diseases or disorders in the body, for example, parathyroid hormone is released when blood calcium level gets low. It increase blood calcium level by releasing calcium from bone.

If this homeostatic condition gets failed and parathyroid hormone is released in the blood abnormally it can cause a disease called hypercalcemia. Therefore homeostasis is important for the body.
