Predators and prey regulate each other's population growth by the predators will eat the prey so the prey population will lower and the predators will low because they will not have that much food. So to say a tiger and gazelle if there are 10 tigers and 20 gazelles and the gazelles are all eaten the tigers will drop because there is no food left.
