Georgia's governor is limited two consecutive terms. What is the most likely reason Eugene Talmadge was able to be elected to fo
LiRa [457]

Answer:

A. There were breaks between terms so they were not all consecutive.

Explanation:

Eugene Talmadge was elected as Georgia's governor in 1932. He served the office for two consecutive terms. He became very popular for his dictatorial style of governance. Since he couldn't run again for the position of governor in 1936, he ran for Senator. However, he didn't win. In 1940, he tried running again as a governor and he won. It was his third term. Clearly, there was a break between the two consecutive terms here. In 1942, he ran again but lost the governor's position. This was also another break for him. Finally, he won the position for the 4th time in 1946, however, he died before his scheduled inauguration.
