It is a model organism used to study various cell and developmental processes such as the growth of developing body parts in the

right place and with the correct shape. It develops from a fertilized egg to an adult in a little over a week, and has been a favorite of geneticists for almost a century. Some of its cells have giant chromosomes whose banding patterns have been extremely helpful in classical genetic studies. Which organism is it?

Answer:

<em>Drosophila melanogaster</em>

Explanation:

<em>Drosophila melanogaster o</em>r fruit fly is a fly species used as a model organism by geneticists and developmental biologists which helped them awarded eight Nobel prizes.

The studies on the role of genes in developmental biology and the study of the chromosomes obtained from the salivary glands called polytene chromosomes are the topic of research in the<em> Drosophila. </em>

Thus,<em> Drosophila melanogaster</em> is the correct answer.

Answer:

Drospohila.

Explanation:

The model organisms may be defined as the organisms that are well suited for the study of the biological phenomena. The model organisms have some special characteristics that are not present in other organisms.

The qualites of the model organisms that describe in the question clearly signifies that this model organism is Drosophila. The growth pattern and correct body shape is first studied in the Drosophila. The salivay glans of Drosophila consists of giant chromosomes.

Thus, the answer is Drosophila.

Jose and Karl were both exposed to the influenza virus at work. Jose had a flu shot made from killed influenza virus six weeks a
ipn [44]

The correct answer is Karl will get sick and Jose will not this time, but neither will get this influenza again since they both will have acquired active immunity to it.

In the case of Jose artificially active immunity has been induced due to vaccination. A vaccine instigates a primary response against the antigen without resulting in any signs of the disease. On the other hand, Karl will acquire active immunity naturally in future, as when an individual get exposed to a live pathogen, he or she develops the disease, and turns immune as an outcome of the primary immune response.

Is it possible to find the same gene in two different kinds of organisms but not find the protein that is produced from that gen
Bingel [31]
Yes, quite frankly it is possible to find a same gene if you're in the same class of species, but finding the protein....I believe that's impossible because in every type of gene, you have the same proteins that make you function the same way. Without them you wouldn't be able to function properly.

If I found the same gene in all organisms that I've tested, I would be intrigued because that would be a giant step in evolution. My reason for this answer is because if you have the same gene that would technically mean we all specifically came from the same species of animals.

No, that's not true because other characteristics would eventually help us in many things, studies would help us get our brain much stronger and the intelligence level would be extraordinary.
