Answer:

In the question, it says that this is a proportional relationship.

A proportional relationship is something like:

y = k*x

So when we have x = 0, we also need to have y = 0.

For the case in the question, this does not happen, so i guess that the actual question is:

"At a gourmet coffee shop. 3.5 pounds of dark-roast coffee beans cost $56 and 7 pounds of the same coffee cost $112."

We can define:

x = amount of coffee

y = price of that coffee

Now we have two pairs:

$56 to get 3.5lb

$112 to get 7lb

Then we have two points:

(3.5lb, $56)

(7lb, $112)

We can draw these two points and then connect them with a line, this line will represent the proportional relationship.

Now we need to look at the value 1 in the x-axis, then draw a vertical line

At the point where this vertical line intersects the graph, we draw a horizontal line, and the value of y is the value at which this horizontal line intersects the y-axis.

(you can see a rough sketch of this in the image below)

The solution is 1lb of coffee costs $16.

The graph shows the relationship between the total cost and the number of erasers bought at the student store. Which statement i
Sphinxa [80]
The statement in option D is TRUE.
From the graph, you can see that one eraser cost 50 cent and all the eraser cost the same. Following the graph, you will observe that, when the total cost of the eraser is $3.5 on the vertical axis, the corresponding point on the horizontal axis is 7.
That particular plot on the graph is telling you that when seven erasers are bought, the total cost is $3.5.

Patricia scored 80% on her math test. She missed 4 problems. How many problems were on the test?
Yuri [45]

Hey there!

If she missed 4 problems, and that took off 20%, that means 4 is 20% of the total items.

20% is the same as 1/5 of the total amount, since there are 5 20s in 100.

So, we can simply multiply 4 by 5 to get the total amount of problems.

4 x 5 = 20

This means there were 20 problems on the test.

Hope this helps!

Express √12+√27 in the form n√3, where n is an integer.

Answer:

5sqroot3

Step-by-step explanation:

see image.

An integer is just a whole positive or negative (positive in this case) number that's not a fraction or decimal or mixed number. In the answer that is the 5.

To simplify a radical, look for a factor that is a perfect square. Radicals and multiplying are very friendly to each other and you can separate the "radicand" (the inside number) into factors inside the radical also into separate radicals to simplify. See image
