Global warming is basically when carbon dioxide in the atmosphere creates clouds that make the heat from the sun reflect back to the surface of the Earth. When that happens, the heat keeps coming, and doesn't leave Earth for a while. "A gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants."
