Answer:

I have this same question on my math test.

Since the <em>radius is 9</em>, the diameter is 18.

The shape is being <em>dilated by 2/3, so the new radius is 6</em>.

Volume formula: V = 4/3πr^3

So now we plug in the values.

V = 4/3 x π x (6)^3

V = 4/3 x π x 216

V = 288π

If the answers <em>do not</em> have the pi symbol present, then it <em>has been multiplied into the answer.</em>

288 x 3.14 = 904.32

The new volume of the sphere is 904.32 in^3

In the graph, the constant of proportionality is 40

<h3>Calculating the constant of proportionality</h3>

From the question, we are to determine the constant of proportionality

The constant of proportionality = \frac{y}{x}

From the graph, a point on the line is (1, 40)

That is,

When x = 1 and y = 40

Thus,

The constant of proportionality = \frac{40}{1}

Constant of proportionality = 40

Hence, the constant of proportionality is 40

The length of the hypotenuse of a 30-60 -90 triangle is 14 units. what is the length of the short leg
kifflom [539]

Recall that the short leg is the side opposite the 30 degrees angle. And the ratio of the short leg to the hypotenuse is 1:2.

Let the length of the short leg be x, then,

\cfrac{x}{14}=\cfrac{1}{2}\\ \\\Rightarrow2x=14\\ \\\Rightarrow x=\cfrac{14}{2}=7
