Answer:

The first day temperature was -9°

Step-by-step explanation:

Vicky records the low temperature for three consecutive days.

We don't know the temperature on the first day.

Let assume "x" be the temperature on the first day.

Second the temperature increase by 6 degrees.

Second day = x + 6 degrees

The third day the temperature decreased by 3 degrees

Third day = x + 6 - 3 degrees

The third day temperature was given as -6°.

Therefore, x + 6 - 3 = -6

Now we have to solve for x.

Simplifying the like terms on the right hand side, we get

x + 3 = -6

Subtracting 3 on both sides, we get

x + 3 - 3 = -6 -3

x = -9°

We took "x" as the first day temperature.

Therefore, the first day temperature was -9°

-9º

You can figure this out by doing every thing backwards:
–6º plus 3 degrees the minus 6 degrees

A closed, or shaded, circle is used to represent the inequalities greater than or equal to (≥) or less than or equal to (≤) . The point is part of the solution. An open circle is used for greater than (>) or less than (<). The point is not part of the solution.

Consider functions f and g defined by the graph and the table.

Please help me ASAP
Fed [463]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given are two functions represented one by graph and another by table

We can check the given statement one by one

1) f(2)=18 : f(0) =15

Average rate of change = \frac{18-15}{2-0} =1.5

For g(x) avg rate of change

=\frac{g(2)-g(0)}{2-0} \\=4

Hence g has a higher average rate of change than f.

True

2)f is linear and eventually exceeds g (f(0)>g(0) . True

3) True because y intercept is 10 for f while 8 for g

4) True because f(3) <g(3)

5) False both cannot be linear
