Can someone please write me a 5 paragraph argumentative essay on whether or not controlled fires work
fenix001 [56]

Do control burns work? That's the question everyone is asking nowadays, and the answer is yes. Fires are as natural as rain, but the control burns help to keep the wildfires from happening.granted fire does have the ability to destroy our houses, crops an much more. but without fires how would the old and dieing forest become new and green without them.

"So why burn? Fire can be used to alter plant species composition to favor more desirable plants, e.g., it can be used for controlling annual weeds, increasing legumes, reducing hardwoods in pine timber, reducing woody plants in grassy areas, controlling cedars, etc. It can be used to improve palatability, quality or availability of several forages for livestock and wildlife; thus, it can be used to manage livestock grazing distribution, improve deer habitat, improve quail habitat, etc."

That's a great reason why we should keep trying to keep the fires going, but i do agree that we need to keep them in control. Without the wildfires what would happen to the habitats around you, some trees need a fire to release there seeds. they need the heat at the bottom of there trunks to be able to release them. When the seeds drop the fire opens the seeds and new trees will grow in place of the trees that have burnt down.

another reason why a control burn is necary to the environment is if they dont happen we will have more wildfires. im going to guess that not many control burns happened in the amazon rain forest. there is a huge fire and it is outta control. and that is an affect of not doing control burns. and now many animals and insects will either die or lose there home. its in our hands to control them.

this is the conclusion to this. just remember that without these control burns the world may be a blazing ball of flame, especially in the drier climates. so lets keep these control burns going and save the world and many animals and other things as well.

keep in mind you might want to make this sound more like you and check spelling and things similiar to this thank you for the challenge hope to get more

Why does the author think so?

 • Because he claims that indifference to injustice causes tragedies.

The author accuses countries of being indifferent to the suffering of Jews during WWII. This indifference caused the Jews to suffer great injustices that were torturous and abominable.
