Determine if the following sets of quadratics are equivalent. Choose true or false. x 2 - 10x + 14 = 0 and (2x - 10)2 = 156 (x -

10)2 = 68 and x 2 - 20x = -32 x 2 - 6x = 247 and (x - 3)2 = 256 (x + 5)2 = 65 and x 2 = 90 - 10x T/F for each

We have to determine if the sets of quadratics are equivalent:
A ) x² - 10 x - 14 = 0  and ( 2 x - 10 )² = 156
( 2 x - 10 )² - 156 = 0
4 x² - 40 x + 100 - 156 = 0
4 x² - 40 x - 56 = 0 / : 4
x² - 10 x - 14 = 0           T ( True )
B ) ( x - 10 )² = 68  and x² - 20 x = - 32
( x - 10 )² = 68
x² - 20 x + 100 = 68
x² - 20 x = 68 - 100
x² - 20 x = - 32              T ( True )
C ) x² - 6 x = 247 and ( x - 3 )² = 256
( x - 3 )² = 256
x² - 6 x + 9 = 256
x² - 6 x = 247              T ( True )
D ) ( x + 5 )² = 65  and   x² = 90 - 10 x
( x + 5 )² = 65
x² + 10 x + 25 = 65
x² = 65 - 25 - 10 x
x² = 40 - 10 x                F ( False )

Hello, i do believe that you are asking me to do pythagorean theorem.

I'm not too sure if we are solving hypotenuse or a/b so i'll do both.

\boxed{\underline{Hypotenuse...}}\\\\\\A^2+B^2=C^2\\6^2+9^2=C^2\;\\36+81=117

\sqrt{117}=10.816\\Round-\;10.8

\boxed{\underline{a/b...}}\\\\\\A^2=C^2-B^2\\A^2=9^2-6^2\\A^2=81-36\\A^2=45\\\sqrt{45}= 6.708\\Round-\;6.7

Hope it helps!

Help pls need help show your solution and then graph
Stella [2.4K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use the quadratic formula or factor, This looks hard to factor so we should use the quadratic formula.

ax^2 + bx + c

so

a=4

b=-9

c=2

you can try it by hand or use this:

https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/algebra/quadratic-formula-calculator.php

you get x=2 and x=0.25 these are the x intercepts (where Y is zero and where the graph crosses the x axis)

so mark x=2 and x=0.25 with a dot on a number line and you can draw a straight line between them since that is the part of the graph that is below the x axis (because the equation has <0) it is a positive parabola because the "a" value is positive and the presence of a "b" value means part of the graph will be below the x axis

How do I solve 18-4K=-2 step by step
jek_recluse [69]

Answer:5

Step-by-step explanation:  18-4K = -2

                                             -18          -18

                                                <u> -4K</u> =<u> -20</u>

                                                 -4       -4

                                                   K=5

The common denominator is (x+2)(x-2)
notice that x²-4 is the difference of two square
when you solve it you get (x+2)(x-2). (x+2) can go into (x+2)(x-2).
