Answer:

O. Geologists and archaeologists use different dating processes to determine the age of rocks, fossils, and ancient artifacts.

Explanation:

Redioactive decay is the process whereby the radioactive materials reduces in quantity through the decay of its materials.

For example, if there where 100g of polonium today, and 5 years later, it has reduced to 30g, then, radioactive decay has taken place over the long period of time.

<em>One of its major use is in the determination of the ages of rocks, fossils, and ancient artifiacts through its cabon dating inorder to determining the radioactive decay of those materials over the past few decades.</em>

A force of 5.0 N acts on a 15 kg body initially at rest. Compute the work done by the force in (a) the first, (b) the second, an
Leokris [45]

Answer:

(a) 0.833 j

(b) 2.497 j

(c)  4.1625 j

(d) 4.995 watt

Explanation:

We have given force F = 5 N

Mass of the body m = 15 kg

So acceleration a=\frac{F}{m}=\frac{5}{15}=0.333m/sec^2

As the body starts from rest so initial velocity u = 0 m/sec

(a) From second equation of motion s=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^2

For t = 1 sec

s=0\times 1+\frac{1}{2}\times 0.333\times 1^2=0.1666m

We know that work done W =force × distance = 5×0.1666 =0.833 j

(b) For t = 2 sec

s=0\times 2+\frac{1}{2}\times 0.333\times 2^2=0.666m

We know that work done W =force × distance = 5×0.666 =3.33 j

So work done in second second = 3.33-0.833 = 2.497 j

(c) For t = 3 sec

s=0\times 3+\frac{1}{2}\times 0.333\times 3^2=1.4985m

We know that work done W =force × distance = 5×1.4985 =7.4925 j

So work done in third second = 7.4925 - 2.497 -0.833 = 4.1625 j

(d) Velocity at the end of third second v = u+at

So v = 0+0.333×3 = 0.999 m /sec

We know that power P = force × velocity

So power = 5× 0.999 = 4.995 watt

you are driving at 18m/s down Lyndale avenue. A car backs out a driveway 25 meters in front of you. You continue at that speed
zimovet [89]

Hello!

For this, first let's calculate time of stop:

t = (V - Vi) / a

Replacing:

t = (0 m/s - 18 m/s) / -5,4 m/s^2

Resolving:

t = -18 m/s / -5,4 m/s^2

t = 3,33 s + 0,25 s = 3,58 s

Now lets calculate distance traveled, with formula:

d = Vi*t + (a*t^2)/2

Replacing:

d = 18 m/s * 3,58 s + (-5,4 m/s^2 * (3,58 s)^2) /2

Resolving:

d = 64,44 m + (-34,604 m)

d = 29,83 m

Then, the vehicle will CRASH

How much gravity does an apple with 50n have?
hram777 [196]

Answer:

hope you like it

Explanation:

Another way to perceive this is 1 G = 9.81 Newtons per Kilogram so 50 G =490.5 Newtons per Kilogram. The 100 gram apple at 1 G has 0.981 Newtons of force and at 50 G has an apparent weight of 5 KG or 49.05N.
