<span>The answer is 0.17. To convert fraction to a decimal, you must divide a numerator by a denominator. In 17/100, 17 is the numerator and 100 is the denominator, thus 17/100 = 17 : 100. When you divide by 100, put the decimal spot two spaces from the right-hand side because 100 has two zeros. Therefore: 17/100 = 17 : 100 = 0.1Hope this helps. Let me know if you need additional help!</span>

Answer: 0.17

Step-by-step explanation: To write 17/100 as a decimal, remember that the hundredths place is two places to the right of the decimal point.

This means that 17/100 can be written as the decimal 0.17. Notice that we put the last digit of 19 in the hundredths place.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I learned this two years ago and I don't remember how to do this anymore!!!!!!
Otrada [13]

So remember the acronym "SOH CAH TOA"

  • Sin = Opposite/Hypotenuse
  • Cos = Adjacent/Hypotenuse
  • Tan = Opposite/Adjacent
  • Opposite = Side that doesn't touch the angle
  • Adjacent = Side that touches the angle
  • Hypotenuse = Side that is across from the right angle
<h3>A.</h3>

So we see that side a doesn't touch angle \alpha , hence making it the opposite side. And we see that side b is across from the right angle, making it the hypotenuse. <u>Using this info, \sin \alpha = \frac{a}{b}</u>

<h3>B.</h3>

So we already know from part A that side b is the hypotenuse. And also since side c touches the angle, it is the adjacent.<u> Using this info, \cos \alpha = \frac{c}{b}</u>

<h3>C.</h3>

Next, it has been established that side c is the adjacent and side a is the opposite side. <u>Using this info, \tan \alpha = \frac{a}{c}</u>
