According to the question, hiding a key outside to ensure family members can get in if they lose their keys is not a physical security measures for your home.

Physical security measures are taken in order eliminate or reduce terrorists attacks. These are multi-layers, integrated and synchronized measures that are used to support antiterrorism defensive plans.

Further Explanation

Physical security measures basically involve the important element of detection, deterrence, delay and response to threat from terrorist and criminal activities. These measures detect the possibility of terrorists attack. However, these attacks could be against personnel, standalone facilities, installations and material.

However, physical security consists of three major components, which are access control, surveillance and testing. Obstacles must be placed in a way of possible attackers.

Physical site should also be hardened against environment attacks or disaster and accidents. Some of the physical security measures include locks, access control cards, bio-metric control system, and fire suppression system. Physical security measures should also be applied to locations. This can be achieved by monitoring, using notification system and surveillance camera.

Notification system can be intrusion detection sensors, smoke detectors and heat sensors. Also policies on disaster recovery and procedures should regularly be tested out so as to ensure safety.

However, the United States Army on its website also suggests different physical security measure that should be taken to eliminate or reduce attacks and these include key control, vehicle barriers, perimeter fence, security badges, security patrols and guard forces.

Explanation:

Reciprocity refers to the act of exchanging values or things in which both parties are mutually benefited.

This works as well for privileges provided by organizations, which can be seen in the example by the World Trade Organization. In this case we can see that one government's concessions are met by other governments, thus providing mutual benefits for all.
