Numerous tornadoes occur in Tornado Alley because of the contrasting air masses that tend to meet in the middle and collide, producing strong and violent thunderstorms. The region of Tornado Alley is an excellent environment for the recipe of these severe storms, containing all the ingredients for tornadic conditions such as dry air and temperature inversion. When dry air is guided northward, it remains elevated to which creates temperature inversions over this region along with advancing moist, creating unstable air. The temperature inversion stops the rising, warm air, hence when you start to get upper level winds. These winds can cause the inversion to shatter, all the energy this inversion was holding being released into severe thunderstorms with no doubt of tornadoes.

miskamm [114]

Answer:

Betty is using neutralizing definitions.

Explanation:

In general terms, neutralizing can be described as an act of counterbalancing a situation by applying an opposite action or effect.

In social life, it can also be described as taking a revenge from somebody as in such scenarios the act of one person will be neutralized if he is avenged for his act.

The same phenomenon was applied by Betty for providing justification to her mom. She neutralizes the act of bullying by Ben by beating him.

White raven [17]

Answer:

Companies act in immoral ways to drive profits. By hiring people from 3rd world countries, they have to follow less strict labor laws, minimum wage laws, etc. This is why child labor is so prevalent around poorer asian countries, because they have less strict laws and they can be paid pennies per hour.

Companies drive to act more ethically because it makes their public image look better, preventing boycotts and making customers want to "choose them" simply due to the fact that they are fair on the environment and their employees.
