Answer:

Radio-wave communications signals travel through the air in a straight line, reflect off of clouds or layers of the ionosphere, or are relayed by satellites in space. They are used in standard broadcast radio and television, shortwave radio, navigation and air-traffic control, cellular telephony, and even remote-controlled toys.

APUSH Period 8 : 1945-1980 While the Gulf of Tonkin resolution essentially gave the president a "blank check", this act limited
riadik2000 [5.3K]

The correct answer is "War Powers Act".

Also known as The War Powers resolution of 1973, it is a federal law that intends to limit the president's power to commit to an armed conflict without the consent of Congress.

The Law states that in order to declare war on a foreign nation, the President must get a "statutory authorization" from Congress. This also includes the scenario where sovereign territory has gone under attack by foreign powers.

The resolution requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to engage in military activity.
