Explain the term “division of labor” as it related to freemen on a landlord’s manor.
emmasim [6.3K]
Narrow specialization of tasks within a production process so that each worker can become a specialist in doing one thing, especially on an assembly line. In traditional industries (see sunset industries), division of labor is a major motive force for economic-growth. However, in the era of mass customization (which requires multiple skills and very short machine change-over time), division of labor has become much more flexible. Did President Johnson’s actions in response to the Gulf of Tonkin incident show a “monolithic” (rigid) view of communism? Explai
e-lub [12.9K]

The reaction of President Johnson to the Gulf of Tonkin incident did indeed show a monolithic view of Communism because he believed that Communism was dangerous.

What was the Gulf of Tonkin incident?

This was an event in 1964 when it was said that North Vietnamese navy boats attacked American naval destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin.

The North Vietnamese were Communists and Johnson responded by increasing U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.

This shows a rigid view of Communism because Johnson thought that it would be right to go after Communists in Vietnam because all Communists were dangerous.
