Answer:

b. learning occurs independently of reinforcement

Explanation:

Edward C. Tolman was one of the famous American psychologists who was best known for his research on 'cognitive maps', latent learning theory, cognitive behaviorism, and intervening variable.

According to Tolman, an individual has the capability of doing more than merely responding to certain stimuli, instead, he or she acts on attitudes, beliefs, strive towards specific goals, and a few changing conditions. He was considered as the only behaviorists who don't accept the "stimulus-response theory", as he believed that reinforcement wasn't required for learning.

In the question above, the correct answer is option-b.

Option B

Explanation:

Relating the body processes to human beings, we do not actively get involved in the same activities everyday, or virtually do we do the same things every time, every day. We are not a machine that has a set of written programs to carry out an operation or activities over and over again. But to human body, it composes of several joints that perform different activities in the body, some move in ball and socket form, while the other moves front and back, some with distinct movement, the interesting thing about these things is that they are done systematically over the course if the action or activity such as when engaging in sports, there are over bodily processes that are systematically done over the course of each day.

Why did the soviets not allow people to leave occupied East Germany
kolezko [41]
Its been a while since I did this topic, but I believe it was mostly because under communism there was little work for intellectuals, so they were often the ones who left the country. This resulted in a 'brain drain', a lack of knowledgable people. I seem to remember reading about the entire maths department of a university just up and leaving at one point. You could also argue that it was damaging for the image of communism if so many people were trying to leave.
