Answer:

Setting the permissions on a file named "swlicenses" so that the owner has all permissions and group and everyone else have only read permissions:

In windows, access the Properties Dialog Box  of the document.

1. Click on the File menu

2. Click Protect document

3. Adjust edit, print, view, etc. permissions

4. Change the permission levels for the users, group, and others on the read, write, and execute permissions.

5. Click 'ok' after setting the required parameters.

Explanation:

To change file and directory permission, you must be the only user or the owner of the file. If you are working in windows, follow the above steps.  Note that you can change the permission for users, group, and others so that they can only read the file instead of writing or executing the program.

          }

          else

          {

              //swap

              f = *c;

              s = *b;

          }

      }

      else

      {

          //after all the swap

              f = *a;

          }

          else

          {

              //swap

              f = *c;

              s = *a;

          }

      }

      else

      {

          // after all the swap

          t = *c;

          s = *b;

          f = *a;

      }

  }

 // final values

  *a = f;

  *b = s;

  *c = t;

}

// main function

int main()

{

  // variables

  double n1,n2,n3;

  // ask to enter first number

  cout<<"Enter the first number:";

  // read first number

  cin>>n1;

  // ask to enter second number

  cout<<"Enter the second number:";

  // read second number

  cin>>n2;

  // ask to enter third number

  cout<<"Enter the third number:";

  // read third number

  cin>>n3;

  // call the function to swap values with address parameter

  valueSwap(&n1,&n2,&n3);

  // print number after swapping

  cout<<"Number after swapping: "<<n1<<" "<<n2<<" "<<n3<<endl;

  return 0;

}

Explanation:

Ask user to enter 3 double numbers.Then read 3 numbers from user and assign them  to variables "n1","n2" and "n3" respectively.Call the function valueSwap() which take address of all three variables as argument and then assign the largest value among the three to variable "n3" and smallest to "n1" and middle to variable "n2". Print the values after swapping.

Output:

Enter the first number:20

Enter the second number:30

Enter the third number:10

Identify different character components for a given typeface: Arial.
Shkiper50 [21]

Answer: Arial belongs to the sans serif family of typefaces. It is the most commonly used typeface, and it is the default typeface set in Microsoft Word. A character is a typographic element represented through an upper- or lowercase letter, number, or special character. Every letter of the alphabet has multiple parts that we describe with a particular set of terms. Typographers call this “letter anatomy.” The basic terms common to all letters are below:

An ascender is the stroke extending upward, going above the x-height (which is the height of the letter excluding the ascender or descender).

A descender is the stroke extending downward from the baseline (which is the imaginary horizontal line that aligns the bodies of the characters).

A bar is the horizontal stroke in the uppercase letters A, E, F, H, I, and T, as well as in the lowercase letters e, f, and t.

A counter is the blank space within the body stroke.

A bowl is a curved stroke that surrounds the counter.

A shoulder is a curved stroke beginning at the stem.

A serif is the tapered feature at the end of a stroke. Arial is a sans serif font, and it does not have tapered corners at the ends of the main strokes.
