the first two all the way at the top are the grandparents andas u can see they had 4 kids 2 girls and 2 boys

the girls stayed single but the two sons had wives and then they had 3 kids

one of the grandparents son did not have a and shaded square but the other one did

so that means whatever the shaded auntie has the girl also has and she get its from her auntie
