Answer:

Present age of Kevin = 6 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of Daniel be 'x' years

So, present age of Kevin = (3 + x) years

Two years ago,

Kevin's age was = [(3 + x) - 2] years

& Danial's age was =  (x - 2) years

Its given that two years ago, Kevin was 4 times as old as Daniel

So,

=> (3 + x) - 2 = 4(x - 2)

=> 3 + x - 2 = 4x - 8

=> 1 + x = 4x - 8

=> 3x = 9

=> x = 3

Therefore, present age of Daniel = 3 years

& Present age of Kevin = 3 + 3 = 6 years

Answer:

kevin is 6 years old

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Kevin's age now be a

Daniel's age now be b

Kevin is 3 years older than Daniel. -> a-3 = b

Two years ago, Kevin was 4 times as old as Daniel -> a-2 = 4(b-2) = 4b -8

-> a-3 -(a-2) = b - (4b-8)

-> - 1 = -3 b +8

-> -9 = -3b

-> b = 3

-> a = 6

hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

the first picture shows that two sides are the same and one angle so you know it's a SAS, the one tick mark and that the two trialge share one common side is how you know 2 sides are the same, and the 90 ° corner symbol shows you know an angle in each , that is also the same.

the second picture shows 3 sides the same so SSS, the triangles share one side, and have the tick marks, showing that each of the respective sides are the same.
