Here too when an object is dropped, we know the initial velocity is zero when in free fall. So V =g*t this implies V= 9.8 *5=49m/s..... do you get it?

If element x has 44 protons how many electrons does it have?
Jlenok [28]
The correct answer is '44'.

In fact, the atom of an element has an equal number of protons and electrons: therefore, if element X has 44 protons, it should have 44 electrons as well.

For curiosity: the chemical element with 44 protons and 33 electrons is Ruthenium.

What is the spring potential energy of a spring that is stretched 15 cm if its spring constant is 350 n/m?
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

Spring potential energy = 7.875Nm

Explanation:

Given the following data;

Extension, e = 15cm to meters = 15/100 = 0.15m

Spring constant, k = 350n/m

To find the force;

Force = spring constant * extension

Force = 350 * 0.15

Force = 52.5 Newton.

Now to find the spring potential energy we would use the formula below;

Spring potential energy = force * extension

Substituting into the equation, we have;

Spring potential energy = 52.5 * 0.15

Spring potential energy = 7.875Nm

A spring balance used to weigh candy is built with a spring the spring stretches 3.00 cm when a 15 n weight is placed in the pan
ira [324]

Answer: 5.9cm

Explanation:

15N/3cm=5

Convert 3kg to N (29.42N)

Use the 5 from earlier to divide 29.42/5=5.884

Round to 5.9

5.9cm is the answer

(I don’t know if I solved this the correct way but I got it right. 5.9 is the correct answer)
