what includes creating an outline to help organize facts and details that answer the research question in an informative essay.
enot [183]

Answer:

In order to create an outline for an expository/informative essay first, you need to come up with a thesis statement. It is best to write it first and at the beggining of the outline so that you can have easy access to it. Since this is an outline, you'll want to come up with a sentence or two that encompasses the whole idea. The outline should consist of three or two sections: the introductory paragraph, the content/s paragraph, and the conclusion paragraph if there is one.

First, you'll want to think about the introductory paragraph:

1) It should start with an introductory generalization to introduce the topic (something like "In recent years, the topic of **** has been broadly discussed".)

2) You will want to look for a transition sentence that provides more information about the topic you introduced. It is important to narrow down the idea until you reach the level of specificity of the thesis. You can mention the majour aspects of the topic if your thesis is about one of those aspects.

3) At this point you can either quote the study ("This is what the research *** explores) or not, and then add the thesis. The thesis should contain all the topics you want to assess.

Then you introduce the first content paragraph: Ideally, you should make each content paragraph-oputline per topic you'll assess.

1) You can start with a transition statement to smooth the way towards the topic sentence (similar to the one in the introductory paragraph).

2) Next, comes the "topic sentence" which is a sentence that introduces one of the topics mentioned in the thesis, and the one that will be explored in the paragraph, when you write it.

2) Afterwads should come the evidence to support your topic sentence. Quotations could be a useful tool if the essay is about a specific research. You can write the idea of the quotation and then add "quotation" between parenthesis.

3) Round up the paragraph so the reader has a clear idea of what the paragraph was about. This round up is similar to the topic sentence itself and some authors omit it.

According to many authors, the conclusion is optional in expository/informative. Yet, the way to write one in academic essays follows the inversed structure of the introductory paragraph. Namely, you start being very specific, remindin the reader of the thesis, afterwards you incorporate a broader idea that relates it to a more general topic. Lastly, you incorporate an even broader idea, like a generalization, that enables the reader to connect your ideas to experiences they can easily relate to.

Some people start off by writing the outline of the content paragraphs and then think about the introductory or the conclusion ones. You can choose the order you feel more comfortable with to let your creativity flow.

According to the levels-of-processing theory, if Jon wanted Maqsood to remember the sentences, he should "tell Maqsood the sentences all refer to kite-flying".

Answer: Option D

Explanation:

The American experimental tradition of psychology have contribution to the study of cognitive development of information processing theories. The fundamental idea of this hypothesis is that the human brain is like a processor of computers or data, rather than behaviorist ideas that people simply respond to stimuli.

Such ideas compare systems of thought with those of a machine in that it collects input, processes, and produces output. The processing model levels target on the processing depth engaged in memory and forecast the processing of shallow knowledge, the greater a trace of memory will last.

photoshop1234 [79]

Answer: Pathos

An appeal to pathos is one that tries to elicit emotional responses from the listener in order to persuade him of a particular opinion. In this sentence, the author is criticising someone who has brought American Indians to their frontiers. The depiction of these Indians is full of words with negative connotations, such as "merciless" and "savages." Moreover, the speaker paints a picture of the American Indians killing everyone they see, regardless of age, sex and condition. This description is meant to encourage an averse feeling towards Indians, and support for the speaker's cause.

recommend two practical ways in which you as a grade 12 leaver, could use a career portfolio to convince an employer that you co
Rus_ich [418]

Answer:Kick off your portfolio with personal information that makes it easy for your reader to get in touch. Be sure to include your full name, phone number, recent em.ail add.ress and, preferably, links to your LinkedIn profile and any web.sites or social media accounts that are relevant to your work. For instance, if you're a graphic designer, you may want to include a lin.k to your freelance business's web.site or the instag.ram account you made for your digital art projects. If you're a writer, you may want to include a lin.k to your blog and your Twit.ter account. After you've laid out your contact information, share a short summary of who you are as a professional. What work have you done, what is your career philosophy and what makes you a unique opportunity for future employers? Then, include a list of your career goals over the course of the next "five years," according to Scot Chrisman, CEO of THE MEDIA HOUSE.Next, your portfolio should include a copy of your resume. The resume should be updated with your most recent professional experiences and tailor-made for the job you're applying to. In other words, make sure the roles and accomplishments you include make a case that you'd be great in the role you're seeking. Your career portfolio should also include a list of your skills and accomplishments. These can be drawn from work you've done as a professional, as a volunteer or as a student. Each job you apply to will include unique required skills in its job description — "add at least three to five skills that are important to the job requirement you are applying for" to your list, Chrisman says. Work samples are the shining gem of the portfolio. This is your chance to show off the best work you've done over the course of your career and to illustrate the skills and accomplishments you claimed in your resume and earlier in your document. The hiring employer may specify that they'd like to see a certain amount of samples. If they don't, remember that quality is more important than quality. "Make sure to only include quality work samples in your portfolio," my teacher told us. "Don't add everything just to make it look like you've already done many projects. What's important is the quality or your projects, not the quantity."Lastly, include a list of professional references who can confirm the skills and accomplishments you've laid out in your portfolio. These can be clients, former managers or former colleagues. If you've worked with clients or have especially good relationships with your former managers, ask them for a testimonial to include alongside their reference.
