After looking through the sentence comparison examples, what do you think the guidelines are that tell you when to use the diffe
Allushta [10]

Answer:

The reason why you get the same result when translating to English is simple, they mean you.

However let me explain the differences:

Usted Is regularly used to denote respect to the person you are talking to; this could be your elders, someone older than you or simply someone who inspires your respect. For instance let’s say you are talking to a priest and you want to tell him that he is very smart:

Sacerdote, es usted muy intelilgente.

Now let’s say you are in school and you want to tell your classmate that he is very smart:

Amigo, tú eres muy inteligente.

Now, in regards to tú/vos they are basically used on the same context, however vos is mostly used South America, tú is more common in Spain and in North and Central American countries like Mexico.

Spanish culture can differ from our own culture. in mexico hispanic people can find it odd on some things we do in america but americans can find it odd what hispanic people do. we americans can find it offensive over something that a hispanic person would do like when a hispanic person would say something in spanish and we don't know what he is say but we take it as a mean word or some bad. also communication is different too. like when we say hello or hi hispanic say ohla in spanish.

now a nonverbal communication is when we say come here we put out our paulm up with our index finger extending in and out 3 or 4 times, has a very different meaning in latin american. in latin american it means you are romantically interested in the person and is consider a solicitation. but to motion someone to come here you in latin america you extend your palm down and all 4 fingers in and out 3 or 4 times together.

hope this works for you and answers you'r question.
i promised to answer you'r question and i will not back down ever again.
