Romulus and Remus were the founder of the city Rome. Romulus and Remus were the twins and the sons of Rhea Silvia, a mortal priestess and Mars, the Roman god of war.
Romulus was chosen as the king of Rome because Romulus killed Remus as both were disagree on the location for the city. Remus wanted to build the city on the Aventine Hill and Romulus wanted it on the Palatine Hill. Remus once jumped over the wall made by Romulus and Romulus killed Remus for his action.
