Non of the above. The answer is 40 and I’m sticking to my guns !

Similar meaning you can assume they are proportionate and if every side is doubled then you should double the last. Another way is to use Pythagorean’s theorem and disregard the little triangle completely.

Both ways have me 40 !

The surface area, S, of a right rectangular prism with length, l, width, w, and height, h can be found using the formula below.
anygoal [31]

Answer:

246 in^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

Length= 8 in

Width= 3 in

Height= 9 in

SA= 2( lw + wh + hl)

substitute

SA= 2(8*3+ 3*9+ 9*8)

SA= 2(24+ 27+72)

SA= 2(123)

SA= 246 in^2

Hence the SA is 246 in^2

The grade appeal process at a university requires that a jury be structured by selecting six individuals randomly from a pool of
romanna [79]

Answer: a) \dfrac{3}{874}

b) \dfrac{30}{3059}

c) \dfrac{3575}{12236}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Number of students : 11

Number of faculty members : 13

Total persons : 11+13=24

Total number of ways to structure a jury of six people from a group of 24 people :-

^{24}C_{6}=\dfrac{24!}{6!(24-6)!}=134596

a) Number of ways of selecting a jury of all students :-

^{11}C_{6}=\dfrac{11!}{6!(11-6)!}=462

Then , the probability of selecting a jury of all students :-

\dfrac{462}{134596}=\dfrac{3}{874}

b) Number of ways of selecting a jury of all faculty :-

^{13}C_{6}=\dfrac{13!}{6!(13-6)!}=462

Then , the probability of selecting a jury of all students :-

\dfrac{1716}{134596}=\dfrac{30}{3059}

c) Number of ways of selecting a jury of two students and four faculty :-

^{11}C_{2}\times^{13}C_{4}=\dfrac{11!}{2!(11-2)!}\times\dfrac{13!}{4!(13-4)!}=39325

Then , the probability of selecting a jury of all students :-

\dfrac{39325}{134596}=\dfrac{3575}{12236}

Martha has 8 cubic feet ofputting soil in the three flowerpots she wants to put the same amount of soil in each pot how many cub
frozen [14]

Answer:

2\frac{2}{3}\text{ ft}^3\approx 2.67\text{ ft}^3

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that Martha has 8 cubic feet of putting soil in the 3 flowerpots. She wants to put the same amount of soil in each pot.

To find the amount of soil in each pot, we need to divide total soil (8 cubic feet) by number of pots (3) as shown below:

\text{Amount of soil in each pot}=\frac{8\text{ ft}^3}{3}

\text{Amount of soil in each pot}=2\frac{2}{3}\text{ ft}^3

\text{Amount of soil in each pot}=2.6666\text{ ft}^3

\text{Amount of soil in each pot}\approx 2.67\text{ ft}^3

Therefore, Martha needs to put approximately 2.67 cubic feet of soil in each flower pot.

if Kassidy earns 8$ per hour and Andrea earns 10$ per hour how much more in PERCENT% does Andrea make than Kassidy?
Vilka [71]
Subtract the numbers.

10 - 8 = 2

Divide it to the smaller number:

2 / 8 = 0.25

Multiply by 100:

0.25 * 100 = 25%
