Insoluble fibres primarily serve as bulking agents, adding bulk to your faeces. Certain types of soluble fibre, on the other hand, can have a substantial impact on your health and metabolism – as well as your weight.

What habits or practices can contribute to obsessing about food?
kobusy [5.1K]

Answer:

Being unable to eat anything outside of a narrow group of “healthy” or “pure” foods. An unusual interest in the healthiness of what others are eating. Spending hours thinking about what foods might be served at an upcoming event. Constantly weighing yourself and doing body checks on any reflectable surface. Self-inflicted rules that have been picked up over the years, or stem from an external source such as diet/ or the pursuit of weight loss.  Restriction can be physical or psychological.
