Sitcoms used to be on radios, now they are on T.V. Sitcoms used to be only about twenty-two minutes long, now they are longer. Some of the later sitcoms, that were on T.V., used to be black and white. Now sitcoms are in color.

I believe it is A due to "The lady made detailed plans, engaged the caterer and the orchestra well in advance" isn't exactly connect well and be hard to understand so you'd put a comma between "caterer, and".
