Answer:

The Munich Pact was approved and signed during the night of September 30, 1938 by the heads of government of the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Germany, with the aim of solving the Sudeten Crisis. The United Kingdom and France were pleased with the wishes of the German population of the Sudetenland and considered this agreement as a partial revision of the Treaty of Versailles. Especially it was intended to avoid a new war, despite putting the existence of Czechoslovakia in great danger.

Explanation:

The pact recognized the aspirations of the Third Reich to annex the Sudeten region, while the governments of France, Great Britain and Italy accepted Hitler's claim to revise the borders of Czechoslovakia and adapt them to German demands, without even formulating the Czechoslovak government a consultation on such an agreement.

How does a monopoly exercise market power?
Mazyrski [523]

A monopoly can raise prices and retain customers because the monopoly has no competitors. If a customer has no other place to go to obtain the goods or services, they either pay the increased price or do without. Thus the key to market power is to preclude competition through high barriers of entry.

Cornwallis was defeated at Yorktown because...?
Readme [11.4K]

Because he did not have enough provisions to stand the siege.

Explanation:

 • The battle was a classic siege, in which day by day the hoops around Cornwallis were tightening.
 • After an initial trench in which Americans and French were stationed, a multi-day cannon exchange of fire favored the French, who had stronger and better cannons than the British.
 • On October 11, the Americans set out to make a second trench, which is now much closer to the very fortification of the British, while on October 12, Cornwallis sends a dispatch that he cannot stand the siege for long.
 • On October 14, a new trench was located 140 meters from the British army stationed in front, there was no moonlight that night, and again a small British-German army was attacked in front of the Washington-led army.

The U.S. government sets aside lands as reservations for Native Americans.

Option C

Explanation:

The idea of an Indian territory seems to be a predecessor to the British Indian Reservation, which was developed by the Royal Declaration of 1763, and which set aside land for the indigenous people.

The proclamation confined the European population to Crown estates east of the Appalachian Mountains. Towards the conclusion of the US war in Paris (1783), the region remained active, and land was ceded to the US. In the aftermath of the U.S. Rebellion, the British Government limited the Indian Reserves' area of land until the only lands west of the Mississippi river were included.

Most Native American tribes had established ties with the British who have been faithful to the British Empire during the American revolt, but had less established connections with the colonist insurgents of the Commonwealth.
