The poem "The Road Not Taken," by Robert Frost, is about making a difficult decision in life. The speaker in the poem is walking on a road that, all of a sudden, divides into two. Now, he has to choose which road he will keep walking on.

The poem is thus a metaphor for those moments in our lives where we need to make difficult choices. Maybe it is about the career we want, maybe it is about accepting a marriage proposal.
