Socialist movement really helped to further the women's suffrage movement. Socialists really challenged the "accepted" ideas that women were some how inferior. The basic doctrine of socialism and the ideas of people being equal really backs the ideas that women should be able to vote. They should be able to vote because they are the same as men. They should also have a say in the running of the government.
European nations would do anything to show that they have strong support and pride in their militiary.
The significance of the Columbus voyages is that the explorer Christopher Columbus made four trips across the Atlantic Ocean from Spain: in 1492, 1493, 1498 and 1502. He was determined to find a direct water route west from Europe to Asia, but he never did. Instead, he accidentally stumbled upon the Americas.
