These signs and symptoms where observed by the Doctor which led to the testing of Ms. Gutierrez for type 2 diabetes mellitus.

To conclude if Ms. Gutierrez has type 2 Diabetes Mellitus the ethnicity should be considered as some individuals for a particular ethic group are predisposed to diabetes mellitus than the others.

Regarding the patient education, Ms. Gutierrez should be educated by Dr. Bahjat on certain diets to take and the diets that she should avoid.
