So he was acquitted in criminal court, but was later found guilty in a civil trial. Civil trial doesn’t have as high of a threshold as criminal(more-than likely versus beyond reasonable doubt.

When you see something wrong you should speak up because if you don’t, the situation will continue or it may be you one day, It’s obvious that this is bothering you and you believe it is unfair, which it most definitely is so you should say something. Next time you see that, go to the teacher or staff and tell them Luis didn’t hit Sam first, Sam hit Luis first you know?. That’s all it takes.
