So, let's look at the problem once again.

8%, or 8/100 of the bag were green jelly beans.

Let's see what we can do to find out a number of other jelly beans, not including the green ones.

We know that 92% of jelly-beans are not green.

92% is 11.5 times more than 8%
(92/8)

24 (or 8%) times 11.5 = 276

276 - number of jelly beans that are not green.

276 plus 24 = 300.

Answer: 300 jelly beans were in one bag.

An electrician has 4.1 meters of wire how many strips 7/10 m can he cut . How much wire will he have left
kogti [31]
7/10 m= 0.7 m

4.1÷0.7=5.85

You would round down 5.85 to just 5, because he cannot cut less than a whole strip.

To find the exact amount of wire used in 5 strips:

5×0.7= 3.5

4.1-3.5= 0.6 m will be leftover.

If I have 10 dollars and I win 6 out of 10 and lose 4 out of 10 and bet 1$ each trade, how much should there be left after 10 tr
ololo11 [35]

you will be left with 12 dollars.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The actual money you have = 10 dollars.

The bet amount for each trade= 1$

For each win, you get extra +1 dollar.

Step 1:

So, you won 6 trades= (6*1)= 6$

Step 2:

For each lose, you loss -1 dollar.

Step 3:

So, you lose 4 trades= (4)*(-1)= -4$

Step 4:

After 10 trades, the money you earned is= 6$ -4$= 2 dollars.

Finally, the total money left after 10 trades is= actual money + earned money

= $10 + $2= 12 dollars.
