Answer:

1. 3

2. 4

3. 24

Step-by-step explanation:

LCM stands for Least Common Multiple.  A multiple is a number you get when you multiply a number by a whole number (greater than 0). A factor is one of the numbers that multiplies by a whole number to get that number. For example: the multiples of 8 are 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56.-

The common multiple for 6 and 8 is 24. That is the Least Common Multiple(LCM)

Part A has true/false questions though that are 8 points.

Part B has multiple choice  questions that are 6 points.

She made the same number points for Part A equal the number of points for part B.

Therefore, 24/8 = 3

So they are 3 true/false questions.

24/6 = 4

So they are 4 multiple choice questions.

In total, they are 7 questions if you include everything.

That is the least number of points for which this was possible.

So each part was 24 points.

Hope it helped!

Factor the following expression. Simplify your answer.<br> 3s(s - 1)^1/3 + 2(s - 1)^4/3
andre [41]

Answer:

(s-1)(s+\frac{2{(s-1)}^{3}}{3})

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Use Rule of One: {x}^{1}=x.

3s\times \frac{s-1}{3}+2\times \frac{{(s-1)}^{4}}{3}

2) Cancel 3.

s(s-1)+2\times \frac{{(s-1)}^{4}}{3}

3)  Simplify  2\times \frac{{(s-1)}^{4}}{3}  to  \frac{2{(s-1)}^{4}}{3}.

s(s-1)+\frac{2{(s-1)}^{4}}{3}

4)  Factor out the common term s-1.

(s-1)(s+\frac{2{(s-1)}^{3}}{3})
