Answer:

You have to write an article arguing which caused the Civil War; States Rights or Slavery.

Explanation:

During this time period, states were more independent of the Federal or National Government of the United States. States were almost like smaller countries in on the same country than just regions of in the same country. Back then the economy of the Southern US was pretty much completely dependent on slavery, where as the Northern US had factories. Some people argue that the Civil War was about the moral delimma of slavery where as some people argue that it was actually about the states being able to make their own laws. Why did hundreds of people send canes to Preston Brooks?
nekit [7.7K]
Preston Brooks was a Southern Congressman and a passionate advocate of Southern Rights. Charles Sumner was an ardent abolitionist who delivered an impassioned speech against the authors of the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1856. He also ridiculed the speech impediment of one of the authors, Andrew Butler. Preston Brooks got angry because he was the nephew of Andrew Butler. Together with a friend, Brooks approached Sumner as the latter worked at his desk and started caning Sumner. Sumner collapsed in the aisle and Preston Brooks continued caning him until his cane broke. Southerners sent canes to Preston Brooks to replace the one he broke.

Two problems that led to the dissolution of the League of Nations were:

 • Its inaction when some of its members engaged in aggressive actions.
 • The fact that some powerful nations were not members.

Why was the League of Nations dissolved?

The League of nations failed to properly act when Italy and Japan attacked Ethiopia and China even though all four countries were in the League. This led to a loss of confidence.

Two powerful nations were also not members which were Russia and the U.S. which made it hard to enforce policies.
