Adolescents do not show any sense of perception and competence in a cognitive process.As per Piaget children are bit simply incompetent thinkers than most adults. People born into lower castes must have been unhappy about it and feeling a lack of fairness. If they did not have a hope for a better life, they could have rebelled against the system. Further, those from the lowest spheres of the society sometimes would have nothing to loose if they rebelled. This would make it even more likely that they could rebel.
The belief that <em>if they accept the current situation </em>gave them a hope that they could actually have a better life in the next life. This kept people from rebelling and maintained security and stability

The King and Queen just wanted to be more rich and powerful, without their monetary support Columbus would not have been able to continue his expeditions. In addition, the King and Queen did not care about the Taínos’ lives because some of them refused to convert to Christianity. In Spain the King and Queen persecuted anyone who did not convert to Christianity and they encouraged this same method in the Caribbean toward the Taínos .
